Cartesian Report End of Year Success

Cartesian, independent technology consultancy and revenue assurance product vendor, has this week reported better than forecast financial results for the eighth consecutive year.

The Company announced revenues above forecast and up 17% on the previous year’s results. It has also increased product sales by 150% and won five new name clients.

Since its inception, Cartesian has built up an enviable reputation in its delivery of software and consultancy to the telecommunications sector.

Cartesian’s technology consultancy division has enjoyed increasing demand for its skills in OSS implementation and customer care migration and consolidation. At the same time the company continues to undertake ground breaking projects in areas such as VoIP, MoIP, DSL and local loop unbundling.

The increase in Cartesian’s product business reflects the success of the new architecture implemented within its Ascertain revenue assurance framework, leading to the roll-out of new product versions earlier in the year. The new architecture offers greater usability and provides support for the full range of revenue assurance activities.

A highlight of the year saw Cartesian carrying out a customer data integrity project for T-Mobile (UK) using the Ascertain RDA (Reference Data Audit) tool. The project included the full automation of existing data integrity controls.

Cartesian is recognised as a thought leader in the area of revenue assurance and is responsible for helping to form the Revenue Assurance Group, an industry forum made up of seventeen UK telecommunications operators. The Group focuses on the discussion of best practice in revenue assurance, as well as the challenges presented by Ofcom’s metering and billing accuracy regulations.

Speaking at the Company’s Annual Review, Managing Director, Alan Strong praised the company’s achievements: “This year’s results show we have taken real strides towards becoming Europe’s leading supplier of revenue assurance solutions. The formation of an industry forum also places us at the very heart of key industry issues and opinions, helping us to keep our finger on the pulse of the sector we serve.”
