Cartesian End of Year Review

Cartesian is pleased to make the following announcement following the completion of its financial year.

During the year, Cartesian’s technology consultancy practice has enjoyed continued demand for its skills in OSS and BSS implementations. We have also noted increasing demand for our services in data integrity analysis and system migrations as operators move toward a higher degree of system consolidation.

Cartesian’s product business continues to enjoy success with its ‘Ascertain’ revenue assurance product and point developments. In addition to winning new customers the company has launched new releases of Ascertain application modules. The new releases offer a completely redesigned ‘look and feel’, incorporate significant new functionality and use cost efficient technology.

We are particularly pleased about a growing awareness of Cartesian’s capabilities in the market due to increased marketing activity as evidenced by an increase in the number of RFIs and RFPs received from prospective customers, a significant increase in new prospects identified and a strong sales pipeline.

Cartesian has also established a unique position as a thought leader in the area of revenue assurance and continues to facilitate the Revenue Assurance Group, an industry forum made up of seventeen UK and European telecommunications operators (www.revenueassurancegroup.net).

Highlights of the year include major consolidation work at ntl:Telewest as well as the delivery of innovative revenue assurance solutions to Vodafone Ireland. In March 2006 Cartesian announced a change to the company’s management - Janos Sivo took over from Alan Strong as Managing Director and Alan moved into the role of Chairman.

Speaking at the Company’s Annual Review, Janos Sivo commented “I am delighted with the progress Cartesian has made. This year saw many changes which we are confident will form the foundation for Cartesian’s future success. At the same time we were able to achieve a solid turnover and remained profitable.

Looking to the future I am excited about building on the platform we have created. Since the end of the financial year we have achieved a number of significant contract wins including a major implementation of our Ascertain Usage Monitor product, a strategic revenue assurance project in the Middle East and key roles in a number of business critical billing migration projects. For the fourth time in Cartesian’s history we have been chosen to assist an operator in the introduction of a completely new line of telecommunications business.
