Rating & Billing Assurance

Rating & Billing Assurance ensures that the rating of usage is accurate, tariffs correspond to those published, and that billing and discounting of all usage, subscription, one-off charges and adjustments are correct.

This task becomes ever-more complex as more types of service (such as content) are introduced and as Marketing become more inventive. With increasing numbers of systems holding pricing information, integrity of tariff data is also becoming a primary concern.

Ascertain Rater, Ascertain’s own parallel rating engine, can be used to re-rate live event records, test events or bill data. Rater can also be used to verify tariff integrity between systems.

Ascertain EDR Generator (EDRGen) creates test records in a variety of equipment-specific formats. In conjunction with Ascertain Rater, it provides continuous assurance of rating accuracy and ensures that new tariffs are fully tested.  The Ascertain Test Event Management (TEM) solution combines Ascertain EDRGen, Rater, Matcher and a Test Call Generator. It provides a telco with the facility to manage a comprehensive framework of test data streams that will help to prove on a daily basis that all operational systems are performing well.
